Yoga Retreat in Egypt![]() At the Blue Beach Hotel, by the Red Sea, Dahab 20th - 27th May 2007 £325 ( * £299 special rate for Nisha's students * ) Dahab itself is a unique tourist destination. Originally Dahab was an untouched palm fringed bay visited by Bedouins during the summer months for the fresh breeze and ample supply of fish. Gradually travellers and backpackers discovered the place and a few camps and beach side restaurants grew up. Over the past years Dahab has benefited from the diving community who come there to dive and it is now a small tourist resort which retains the original laid back atmosphere whilst offering the comfort and facilities modern tourists expect. It is excellent for snorkelling, diving, windsurfing and camel trekking, or for just "chilling out". This is a perfect place to bring your non-yoga partner and friends, there is lots for them to do - and they receive a non-yoga discount! The Yoga We will practice yoga twice a day, in the morning and afternoon. The morning classes will be mainly yoga asana and pranayama, while the afternoon classes will also cover meditation and yoga philosophy. The hotel has a large purpose built yoga room with space for 25 mats. It has views to the sea on one side and the mountains on the other. There is also an outside yoga space overlooking the sea.
Activities and Outings There will also be the unique opportunity to:
* spend a night in the mountains on a yoga safari with the Bedouins ![]() * go horse back riding in the deserts and mountains on well cared for Arabian horses * climb Mount Sinai and visit St Catherine’s Monastery * experience dinner in the desert under the stars
This hotel is situated in front of the beach, along from the lighthouse. Sun loungers are placed on the beach for the hotel guest use and also by the swimming pool. It is the perfect location, close to the village for shopping and restaurants and close to the more 'ethnic' cafes and restaurants at the other end of the beach. The hotel has a restuarant and a bar. We also have a massage therapist, Antonia, on site. All rooms are en-suite with air conditioning and a balcony or terrace. Superior rooms are available for an extra £45 per room per week.
